I noted the following while working through a book and I thought it would be useful to make a list. If you know anymore, please say.

    1) Cannot create groups.
    2) No Local Users and Groups Tool.
    a) Must use the User Accounts Tool in Control Panel
    b) Only supports 2 types of accounts, Limited and Computer Administrator.
    3) Cannot join a domain.
    4) Cannot configure NTFS file permissions.
    5) Does not support disk quotas.
    6) Does not support file encryption.
    7) No Local Security Policy Tool.

lol it is pitifully lacking in features.

Doesn't support remote desktop connections :x

Can be a pain in the butt to network even in a Peer to Peer workgroup.

I am sure there is more, but it is a product that I do not recommend or wish to support.

I tell people to avoid it like the plague, but users will be users 'oh well it says its home, and i only need it at home, and its 30 quid cheaper'

2 days later the phone calls something like 'err no, i dont support home, you knew that, kthxbye' :D

network filesharing is a pain in home as well

TECHNICALLY. XP home can actually do everything that pro can do. Its just that in order to make it do these things, you need to arse around in the registry. all they have really done is remove the GUI interfaces.
