Which one is your preference? I had both not long ago but sold my PS4 as I hardly ever played it and really needed a laptop. For me the XB1 is definately much better its less laggy, the network doesnt go down every day, the UI is actually easier to navigate through and find what you want, I find the controller alot more comfortable and easier to play with, the exclusives are alot better IMO.. I cant name a PS4 exclusive I like. Killzone Shadowfall really let me down, The Last of Us isnt my kind of game I found it really slow. They've just released The Order 1886, and from what Ive seen, its a game where the cutscenes are the best thing about it. The upcomming PS4 games arent suited to my taste either. Now as for XB1 it was great from day one with games like Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Forza, Titanfall.. all great games.

I have always got on better with Xbox consoles as I prefer my 360 to my PS3. The only games I like on PS3 are Uncharted Series (and tbh UC1 and 3 arent that good) and Killzone 2 & 3.

Now the PS4 USP is this whole 1080p output where the XB1 outputs games at 720p, in all honesty I prefer to have better quality games and tbh the difference between the two graphically is nothing to write home about.

So yeah thats my opinion on the whole thing, I havent played my consoles in awhile due to not having time but going to try and fit it in as its a big hobby of mine. If anyone plays BF4(XB1), Titanfall(XB1) Borderlands 2 (I have 360 and PS3 versions) or Uncharted 2 let me know.

I'm a ps4 man myself although I usually pick a side initially and then after a few years wind up getting both when the prices drop. I'm not sure I'll do that this time around as there doesn't seem much in it. That plus sadly my gaming time has dwindled, maybe I'm getting old :S

    PS4 for me.
Never got to grips (Excuse the Pun) with the big cluncky XBox control pads.

Gaming time had dwindled now due to Study but do like to hop on Destiny for an hour or so every couple of days, at least until House of Wolves is released. Also looking forward to Uncharted 4 and No man Sky.

PSN name is Jaron78 if anyone is about.

I'm also a PS4 man, find it much better than X-Box myself. Another who doesn't like the X-box controllers as well.

I find the games on the PS4 to be quite good now, but it was a bit slow to start.

I think the X-Box has gone too much at being a home entertainment centre, where as PS4 has focused more on the gamer. My opinion of course but that's how I see it. :)

I like xbox pads but have to admit the touch pad on PS4's is really cool, and the share button. I am still finding PS4 games lacking to be honest. I don't have anything yet that I think is great, just good. I've got about 15 games ish I think

I prefer an Xbox One because of the controller ;) I feel like the PS4 controller is flimsy compared to the Xbox... besides, I usually own both consoles, (PS3 and Xbox 360) but at the moment, I am looking to get an Xbox One.

I ummed and ahhed about this for years, I have a PS3 and loved it for the media server side of it (countless hours of Peppa Pig watched via it now).

I looked at the XB1 and it came to market with DNLA\Plex sooner than the PS4 did and that's what did it for me, unfortunately the Plex client still isn't there as far as continuous playback is concerned so I have had to go back to the PS3 for the moment, although gaming on the XB1 is great (football and driving games).

Nowadays I game primarily on the PC (Steam all the way!), but I do have a whole load of consoles from years gone by (NES, SNES, Genesis/Megadrive, PS2, GameCube, Wii and an XBOX360 to name a few).

I guess if ones looking for the most powerful console, the PS4 should be capable of rendering things smoother, and at a native resolution of 1080p (of course, your mileage may vary and not every developer has the same handle on each console).

On the other hand, the XB1 has some HTPC-like capabilities that helps it differentiate the rest of its capabilities from the other offerings out there.

Anyway, I have neither a PS4 or an XB1. This may change once Microsoft updates the XB1 OS to Windows 10, allowing cross-platform apps to be developed and making the experience that little bit closed to the current HTPC I use for my multimedia needs (for those wondering, it's an ASRock VisionX, which is relatively discreet and has a decent set of capabilities...). The current Kinect-based Dance Central games on XBOX360 keep my friends pretty happy when I host parties :)

Mad the way the 360 and PS3 are better media machines than any of them isnt it ha ha gotta love that! Mate was saying you can put your mp3's on 360 to listen to when you play, XB1 you can't do it any more.

True, eventually it will be able to do this though, but these are features you would expect to be available upon launch. I'm looking forward to the Windows 10 update on XB1 though, the new capabilities look awesome!

Hmm cool, I just checked out the Windows 10 update, looks cool but it's making the Xbox more like a PC now then ever :) ...

I didn't have a chance to check out the game sale... Anything good?

Well I managed to get Sniper Elite 3 for £7.50, it was on sale for £10 but I converted my Xbox rewards into cash and got £2.50 off!

As I do the majority of my gaming on a PC that's never a bad thing... tho the XB1 can never compete with my dual 780ti's on performance (tho to be fair the XB1 costs the same as a single 780ti cost me).

Oh I agree.. I have dual 770 with three 27" screens for my gaming PC... but I see the Xbox as a party console... just that it's becoming more and more like a PC and for us (pc gamers) that's something that doesn't appeal much since we already have computers more powerful than the consoles.

What do you make of that game mate? I'm a hardcore Sniper Elite fan but I struggled on that one. I didn't really like the desert theme on it. If I'm going to be sniping I like it to be from church towers and destroyed buildings not from behind a rock in the desert

Not played it yet, Ive been busy studying! I thought the second game was pretty mediocre but for 7.50 it would be wrong to not buy the third, I picked up GTA V preowned for £19.99!
