just wondering who plays, i started last week because i'm between jobs and got time to kill. im a level 24 night elf hunter. The only thing i can see thats wrong with this game is its too addictive and ive been warned you loose time.

my mate used to play it 24/7 almost. He stopped claiming it was computer smack, I had a free trial but couldn't get into it.

i used the 10 day trial and then bought the game which gives you 30 days free too before paying £8 a month.

im finding it just like oblivion and i got addicted to that too. i love the way in WoW you can join up in a group to complete quests and raid dungeons. joined my first guild last night too :)

I never got in to wow.
I don't like the idea of paying per month for a game i would only play for a few hours on the weekend (maybe it's the scotsman in me:biggrin)
I got in to guildwars instead same sort of thing but no monthly charge.

and i loved oblivion (hope they release a new one soon)

I have never played WoW, but I did loose 4 years of my life to Everquest.. now that was an addictive game :joker

Needles to say the misses celebrated the day I quit.. only to find I replaced it with Oblivion .. still at least I can pause oblivion :biggrin

I remember many fond nights raiding till 3am (started at 8pm) .. tired but with a sense of achievement.

Just becarefull MMORPG games can take over with out you realising it

Oblivion now there's a game :) I have just got the two expansion packs an I am totally addicted again. Unfortunately when I had to rebuild my machine a while back I forgot to back up the Oblivion saves so I have the whole thing to do again, but I am not bothered.

For some reason I could never get into Oblivion when I tried it on the PC... when I tried it on my PS3 I found it a doddle to play.

Just gutted I dont get the shimmering Isle expansion (unless I bought latest version) or any MODS but saying that the initial game and 1 expansion pack is enough to get lost in :)

I like how you can deviate from the story and still have plenty of things to do and explore.. then simply get back into the story when ever the mood takes me :)

Oblivion is a fantastic game but I never knew what class was best to be so in the end I picked the good old warrior. I tried a magic class but I didn't like how you could only have one spell equiped at once and as I play with cursors choosing mid battle was too hard. I looked for a mod to see if there was an easier was to equip spells and weapons but gave up and stuck to the warrior class.

A friend of mine plays WoW online and has been for the past 3 years or so - he met his wife on there also. Both of them play in the same room for a good few hours each night - he's been a guild leader, and other stuff I never could quite follow :) but is hugely into it.

But it is something that has ever appealed to me at all.

im not too keen on paying £8 a month either but knowing me i'll get bored within a couple of months anyway, ive practically been playing it 24/7 anyway :)

it never really appealed to me either until i actually started playing it. so out of the 10m people who play it no one on here does lol
