just got back from a job interv where i was simply told that they prefer someone only working towards MCSE as it is cheaper for them

With reference to them saying "cheaper for them" - well this is an invitation at some point to ask for training say early next year once you get settled in ...

To start with see if they will give you time to study a few hours during the week as you are paying for your own course.

Also they should allow you to setup 2 or 3 testing machines in work lab that you can experiment with compared to their live network. You then can also use these machines as training computers with little additional effort.

Congrats ! well done.

Did Advent sort you the interview out or have you done it off your own back ? I've got to go and speak to them within the next couple of weeks - should be out for interviews then as well.

Are you still on the 70-270 ? I am on 'go slow' at the moment, just got too much on !
