    When saving a Word document as a Web Page file, Word crashes, and doesn't offer a bug report. It then asks to be restarted. The same file can be saved as a Web Page file in Word 2007 absolutely fine. Does anybody have any ideas, or know where I can find an error log to see what's going on?

    Hi BB88,
    Have you tried running Word in safe mode and saving out as HTML to see if it crashes?

    If it doesn't crash in safe mode, it may be an add-in that is installed causing the crash.

    To run Word in safe mode, hold CTRL down and keep it pressed whilst you double click on Word to start it. A box will pop up asking if you want to start in safe mode.

    If the above does not work try logging in with a different user account and save the word doc as a web page. Strange one I know but had a few probs with a customer this week with Office doing weird things and it ended up being a profile issue.

    And have you applied all latest updates for Office 2010/Word 2010 like SP1?

    @Notes_Bloke
    Tried this, but still the same, thanks anyway.

    @Sparky
    I have tried it on several different machines, so do not think its a profile issue.

    @wagnerk
    I will apply the SP1 update and go from there.

    Thanks for all your replies.

    I assume it still crashes in safe mode?

    If so, have you tried disabling any third party add-ins by clicking file --> Options --> Add-ins?
