I got a call this morning from the agency that got me the telephone interview for a support job, he says I got through to the second stage and all looks good as he is the only one the employer is using and he says I'm the best suited so far.

    yey.

    Anybody know anything about S.A.P?

thanks but none of those entries are what I mean lol
sorry, I thought SAP was well known, Sap.com

I have done some research on it but I was asking if anyone knew about it first hand as the job is support for companies who use SAP softwares.

    thanks for the help though,
I got called this morning and told there will be a 'test'. I should be ok, I did say that if he brought me in and put a pc in front of me I would be confident to answer any questions, now I've just gotta prove it!

Better hope that it is a practical test, rather than a theory one!

I'n my experience it is easier to sit infornt on the pc and do something than it is to have to explain it!

    Best of Luck! :)

    thanks for your support guys!
I hope its a pc in front of me, much easier to attack. I think it might be as the job involves travelling to different sites and providing support like re-pluggin networks, changing hardware, adding pc's to a network and things like that.

Interview on monday at 3pm oo-er

nasty thing is, I got an egg thrown into my face from a moving car.
I was riding my motorbike in the opposite direction, must been a combined speed of over 60mph, I just wish I took my girlfriends advice and got that nice closed-face helmet last week.

Wow! That's awful, Andy. I'm glad it didn't end up worse. You must have had a terrible time keeping control of your bike when the egg hit.

Many, many years ago, my primary method of transportation was a bicycle. I worked midnight to 8 a.m. and was just about at work one night when a car passed me and hit me on the lower back with something. It could have been a stick or a metal rod. I must have blacked out for a second because the next thing I knew, I was off my bike and staggering to keep on my feet. I yelled some pretty "not-nice" things at the car as it tore off into the distance and darkness. Had a nice welt on my back for awhile.

You're right, I nearly went into the front of a bus! luckily I managed to get it to the side of the street and get the stand down and then I nearly fell off the bike. I had all gooey stuff coming down from my face and from the pain I thought it was a brick that hit me (not unknown to happen on our streets), someone said it looked like I had been egged so I knew it wasn't my eyeball juice streaming down my face :x

unlike you, I couldn't shout at the offending vehicle coz no-one saw anything, but I swear if I see anyone doing it they'll get a surprise punch in the face.

might get me some sympathy with the job interview tomorrow though :D

Good luck glytch with the interview!

I presume the perpetrators were kids, eggs seem to be the weapon of choice here too. Gaggles of yobs terrorising old people with eggs. I can understand the shock at being smacked in the face with one travelling at speed. It is bad enough when a bee hits your face when riding a motorbike. Get that full face helmet and a decent visor!!

Glad you are not too seriously injured.

    Pete
