If you have a CAT 5 cable just hook youre laptop up with that and see if you have the internet when its connected via a wire

I was able to connect to the internet wired up to router no problem the AOL proxy settings were all cleared so that was not the problem so internet connection ok wired. some other factor using wireless signal still think its the wireless security alarm so I am going to try 802.11a router with card instead of 802.11g.b. unless any more ideas to try.

If you're convined it's the alarm, have you tried a different wireless channel?

I am now going to install a belkin pre-n mimo router with the option for 802.11a they have had two other wireless routers installed before by other computer repair firms but with no results both have not been able to connect to the internet but can see the wireless router I still am covienced that the wireless security alarm is the problem has any one else had this problem before
