Hi guys, im having trouble with a wireless set up.

The router is a netgear and the wireless reciever is a belkin, now i know these are working perfect. What i need to know is where do i get the enryption key from. When i connect using the wireless set up it asks for the wireless key, but as this router was bundled with an aol package i cant find any sort of key ???

    Any ideas ??

Log into the router/AP via ethernet and look at the AP pages. Either the key is visible - or you can reset it.

If the key was set by AOL then the docs with the router will tell you how to find the key. For example, with BT routers the key is part of a string of characters printed on the unit.

    zxspectrum,

    Questions:
    1. What model is the Netgear router?
    2. What model is the Belkin wireless receiver?
    3. What is a "wireless receiver?" Are you talking about the "wireless NIC" device?

The netgear router is a netgear WGR614 802.11g
The belkin reciever is just a wireless G adaptor, i dont know the exact model number. It just connects to a usb port. I know this is getting a good signal its just a case of the encrytion key
