    Now would be a good time to point out to the boss that a wise man would arrange for a new replacement server while this time bomb is ticking again. Next time it probably won't be so 'easy' to fix.:biggrin

    Were there any updates that could have caused this, i had this recenlty on a desktop, i did all the usual things, copied the files, tried, bootcfg /rebuild , fix boot etc, but still the same, i also checked the boot.ini from a live cd and it looked good.
