    Not having much to do with ME- was it a bootable CD-ROM? i.e like XP or 2000 where you "stick the disc in" and of it goes!

    its been a while but i believe it may not of been
    atleast i always used my Win98 boot disk anyway as far as i know

    Just found a good site it looks like ME was only availible on CD.

    ME never enjoyed great popularity nor was it particularly long lived. While you will hear tremendous angst when MS announces withdrawing support for 98 or 2000, you never even hear a ripple from MS about ME.
