I'm trying to update 3 windows 2000 PC's via the internet using Windows update service. On first connection they all connected fine and began to download and then install SP4, on reboot I returned to the liveupdate and one of the PC's now wont scan for new updates. It goes straight to saying that there are no updates available at this time. This is not true, I know because normally there are the updates for language packs that can be downloaded and the other two have both come up with more updates????

    Any ideas on this? :scratch

How are the comps connected to the internet?

This is a wild guess but if the one that's hassling you works through NAT or ICS then maybe it's getting confused with the cpmp that is directly connected to the internet.

Sorry, this is a wild kind of guess but thought I'd give it a try.

PS: If what I said makes absolutley no sense, don't worry, I can't understand what I'm going on about meself sometimes. :D

Well, I got them to work in the end. A quick lean out of cookies, temp files etc and then a reboot and worked first time.

Just one of those things :scratch
