Sounds good, going to load this in a VM and see what's new. Thanks for the link!

I quite like it so far... Wouldn't mind playing about with this on a Windows 8 tablet... I just got a feeling its going to feel a lot more polished than iOS and Android.

I have just installed it in a VM using VMWare Player - it's obviously early days, but it feels a little like a simplified Windows 7 so far.

I think on a tablet or phone it would be fine and easy to use.

I'd agree with that - only had a brief 20 minute play or so, but nothing noticably exciting - unless your on a phone/tablet.

tried to install it on vmware 7 and didnt work then found this! so thought id share incase anyone else runs into problems!

In this article Microsoft Made it clear that, Windows 8 developer installation is supported on only below platforms.

•Hyper-V in Windows 8 Developer Preview
    •Hyper-V in Windows Server 2008 R2
    •VMware Workstation 8.0 for Windows
    •VirtualBox 4.1.2 for Windows
So, if you are trying to install Windows 8 on a platform which is not in the above list, sorry, you need to upgrade your virtual environment first before you start windows 8 installation.

I love that Hyper-V is coming to Desktops in Windows 8. I'm not so fussed on the Metro UI. It needs to have an off button...

The developer version was released a few months ago. I'm not sure if that article applies to this version.
