Have you configured that wireless access point as a client of your Domain Controller?

You could then try enabling PEAP fast reconnect on your DC and your wireless client.

Not all routers support that kinda setup mate, as it works on Windows XP it may be something to do with Windows 2000. Not as user friendly as XP but a good OS back in the day. 8)

Cheers mate I didn't know that. I only put that cos I thought maybe 2000 SP4 would support it but thanks for pointing that out. I've found many times even though we think of XP as old hat, its actually quite advanced under the hood compared to anything before it in terms of security and compatibility

** Edit, just thought on, what Service Pack is the Win 2000 machine on?

Failing that it might just be best to upgrade the client to XP

Yeah, it's encrypted and connects to the router fine when the key is entered. But even the internet wouldn't work. Now i can get the internet sharing over the wifi at work with my blackberry and other laptops, ones that are not even on the domain. I think 2000 must have some wifi issues that doesnt support AD or internet sharing maybe...
