why does my home phone ring for 15 seconds?

I haven't had a phone at home for almost 5 years now... *shrug*

I use my mobile, or Lync/Skype4Business (voice over IP) via my laptop if required.

There's no reason for anyone to call me on a landline, it's an antiquated form of communication since we tend to be ever more on the move. And I don't want telemarketers either.

 

I see. But I find it a lot easier. As I have a lot going through my mobile phone. So I use my landline for all the planned and so called important phone calls.

But that's coming to an end with me because I cannot get to the bloody phone on time. Lol

I think this might be resolved. I said earlier i rang the phone company, that was not going to be a good idea no matter what, because speaking to illiterate people about a product they no nothing off was not going to help --- (iDec Customer Service).

I rung Virgin Media instead, they said they will "up" the ring time within 24 hours.

Sooo hoping this is the fix!!
