This is really annoying, but my home phone rings about 5 times until it goes to answer machin.
It Is so inconvenient considering you have to walk across the house to answer it.

It does not ring near enough close to answer it without have an answer message to read..
Is there a way too change this?
Please any suggestions would be great!!

    Cheers

Well you can usually set the amount of times you want a phone to ring before it goes to answer phone.. not sure what make/model you have but possibly try typing that information into Google and you may stumble across some instructions.

Tried befor. absolutely nothing. Even ring the phone company they had no answer. ItS our second phone because of this issue.

There is no way to determine if a phone will do this before buying one.

Really need to figure this out-.-

    Makes me run though.. Lol

What phone do you have? Is the voicemail on the phone or on at the provider level?

Well then maybe you could train to become a faster runner as motivation to get to the phone on-time as well as getting fitter. win win win!

When at home simply sellotape the phone to the side of your head, that way you can answer it quickly and rock the shabby chic cyborg look. Obviously you'll need a lot of cable, not enough would make this idea ridiculous

Or do what I do and don't have a home phone, we haven't as a family had a land line for 8 years now, sure we may well have it as part of our Virgin Media package but it's never been plumbed in or used, if Virgin want to contact either me or my wife they use the mobile.

I forgot to add that it also ensures that you never miss a call when you're not home because instead of them dialing you there they are dialing your mobile, which let's face it most of us carry with us all the time.

Ditto, no home phone for us either, all mobile. Also negates the need for sellotape.
