    The title says it all

How come lazy, untalented and unskilled people in IT get a head in IT compared to the talented and skilled and smart ones?

Also how come so many people hate on others?

Also how come there are people who thinks they know but they don't know.

I'm not ranting but I wanna know.

I'm guessing this is about you again and your not asking the question because you actually want to debate the issue?

If I'm wrong and you want to debate the issue, great topic for discussion and I apologise for making the wrong conclusion.

What can I say, my face is my future mate, I don't really know anything its all about the smile :biggrin (kidding)

Sorry it's friday so I had to have a little joke there, no offence intended. In all seriousness, do people who are untalented and unskilled get ahead in IT? That's not how it works where I've worked. You will always get plodders. People who are possibly capable of more but just want to come in, keep their head down, go home and get paid. I think you need these people. Too many go getters in one area can sometimes be an over competitive nightmare. Tell us what's on your mind Ausus, or by the sounds of it, who has upset you, we might be able to help, and we would like to if we can.

With all due fairness, I don't think that's the case and tbh, being humble goes a LONG way in life. When I first started working, I immediately realised "Holy shite. I know nothing" (in comparison to what my supervisor knew) You will always meet people who know loads more than you do, at least in their own specialised areas any way!

I may be wrong (Its been known to happen on the odd occasion), but is the OP the same guy that was moaning about his job, how everyone hates him, he can do so much more, everyone is against me? Thread went on for a while and he took NONE of the advice that was offered?

Just want to clarify before I get involved in the conversation.

You'll ask for opinions, ignore them, then moan about how awful your job is.

Dude...just quit but please don't make a thread here moaning about being out of a job a month later.

    hey guys,

    your right,

my current place is so boring even though I get paid good,

its not challenging and I am not growing

I have way more potential I have so much love for my managers and the company but I have more potential and I can do better.

i am job hunting we will see,

it kills me when a company lies to hire me and does not follow through,

    but that's life,

one day they will all regret it,

    they lost someone special.

This is either a wind up, or someone is very deluded!
Either way, I'm done with this conversation I'm afraid.

I would agree that you are Special

Unfortunately though it's all for the wrong reasons.

There will be plenty more people out there just as skilled and as driven as you but who have a better attitude toward work and their peers.

Hi @aushus, I think what people are taking exception to, is your self praise. You have complained a lot about your career, which alone, does not smack of someone world class. I'm not having a go at you of course I just want to understand, why do you think you are too good for your current employer? It sounded like you left your last place under a dark cloud. Could that happen again if you leave on bad terms from your current place? You recall how worried you were about references from the last place...
