We get alot of adverts from people who just sign up, post a few adverts and never return. Its just a way of stopping this I believe!

    Welcome to CF.

The introductory posts are exactly what it says on the box. It gives you the oportunity to say hi and tell us a bit about yourself, prior to jumping straight to a specific forum.

Hello and welcome to CF! It is also polite to do so when you first register to a forum, so that people also know who you are when you help them out or ask for help.

    Hi there and welcome 8)

It is a courtesy more than anything for you to introduce yourself, it also aids us to help you when we know a little more about you and what you want to get out of the IT sector.

Hi and welcome from me too :)

I was going to make the same point about using "txt spk", but it has already been made admirably above.

Point is, this is a forum for people furthering their education in general, but specifically in IT certification. There is a lot of community discussion, and more so a lot of technical discussion takes place on our Boards, and with a global Membership, it is generally accepted etiquette to post in standardised English (as that is the language of the majority of our Members).

Doesn't mean we don't have fun tho !!

    Cheers :)
