Would it generally be an IT staff or head of sales person to manage (and to have full control) something like MS Dynamics or Saleforce? Just general things like creating new accounts, minor modifications etc.

My first thought was the network admin but after looking what dynamics was then I would say sales would be more in control. It depends how your company is set up.

    Why do you ask ???

In previous roles it's always been the Business Development \ Marketing guys looking after the CRM (after all, it's Customer Relationship Management).

Depends on the volume of requests I guess. No reason why you cant do it though - another thing to put on the CV :)

    Thanks everyone

Just wasn't sure what is the norm in other companies. My initial thought was IT would register, sort out licensing and generally vet it and see if it's okay (integration compatibility etc) and then sales or marketing manager would manage it on a day-to-day basis.
