Just wanted to gather some facts and figures, rather than opinions and experiences here. So the title says it all...

What Training Provider do you or have you used, if any, or have you gained your certs purely through self-study ?

Obviously I can't possibly include every conceivable training provider in the choices, but hopefully you'll find the main UK-based companies here (if you've studied overseas, please let us know too). More importantly in this will be the "Other" option - please elaborate where possible.

EDIT: This poll is multiple choice, so please give as much info where possible.

Thanks to all for your cooperation :D

Oops, only clicked self study [IMG] lol

At the moment, I'm going the self study route, which i must say I'm liking, although I do find it hard to get motivated sometimes.

I did my CCNA through the Cisco NetAcad, which I also enjoyed, and i would recomend for anyone going the Cisco route.

    Dear All,

I am using a company called Azlan for my IT Training. This was not out of personal choice I hasten to add.

The company I work for have always used them.

I must admit that I find their instructor lead courses to be very very good indeed but then again, I cannot really compare against others !

Anyway, if anyone is interested in Azlan then you can visit them at : http://www.azlan.co.uk

    Regards,

    Steve

I studied my original MCSE through a company no longer in existence (due to them sucking probably)
I did my future Microsoft and Comptia stuff self studied, and i did all of my Cisco stuff though a company called NetLogic consulting in north london, they were great, top bunch of people, but not your 5k a course with the facilities to match bunch like interquad and parity, great none the less

    Hi all,

Ok so I will own up I used ICS......what can I say price was roughly £550 for A+ & Network+ course (No exam fees) thought it was quite expensive till I saw what others have paid.

Even though dont seem to get alot for that money.
On the plus side course content seems good as I passed the OS exam, and almost all of the exam content was covered by the course.

But probably could have bought loads of books for that amount that cover a few courses...
