I was chatting with m'learned colleague about search engines this evening and I realised I can't remember the last time I used a search engine whose name didn't begin with 'G'.

So which one do you use?

No prizes for guessing the winner of this poll by the way.:D

PS. For anyone who wants to be clever, I'm talking about search engines for general web enquiries. Not whois lookups, intrasite searches and such like.:dry

Eye spy, with my little Eye, something beginning with G... (...it something other than G-string!)

when i get my results, i normally go through 4 - 5 pages of results, or if its less then that, normally that would mean i've either had enough (which normally means i've typed the wrong keywords), or happy with what i've read so far...

I guess Google has to be the main one, it's my home page.

However, Dogpile is very good for searching for music files:biggrin

Google is also my home page. Clean and quick to load, and I use it all the time.

There is an alternative to windows. They're called doors. Makes getting in and out of buildings and cars MUCH easier.

Glad to be of assistance. 8)

Mine too, and every single PC I build for someone. Makes me laugh that almost every dial up customer I see has Nine MSN as their home page (Microsoft's default). It takes longer to load their home page than it does for the PC to boot

When I was at uni everyone used Netscape as their browser and Yahoo as their search engine.

One day a long haired geek said to me "Have you heard of Google?", things changed after that! :biggrin

Blimey, I thought at least one or two of you off-the-wall types might do things a bit differently but no surprises so far.:(

It depends how I feel, what I'm looking for, and if one search engine doesn't bring what I want there's always 100's of other ones...
