TO be honest I've always been a fan of Mozilla - i find it faster and more secure (as well as less pop-ups).

I will be giving the Google Chrome a go in the near future though...

Hmmn, could be difficult to answer as different questions - i.e. the browser "used" may not be the one "preferred". I know that locally the NHS and Uni still insist on IE 6 and it has to be that version.

I use and like IE but use Firefox for LinkedIn.

A recent BCS meeting had Bruce lawson from Opera speaking which got me interested tho' after download it refused to install.

Yeah thats a good valid point mate. In work I'm forced to use IE 6 too. Saying I'd like people to state which they prefer for home use would probably of been clearer. Cheers, Jim

Firefox. I'm a plugin junkie. I love that I've been able to add the ability to swich between proxies with a single click.
Mouse gestures saves me so much time (microseconds really but hey they add up)

Google preview is another I find increasingly useful

I also use some very geeky plugins which shall not be named here less I lose my fonze like image

At home I use fire uploader to put pics on facebook or flickr and many many others. Maybe I should start a useful plugins thread and see what others are using to optimise their experience

The main browser I use is IE, followed by FF on my laptop/PC, I use Safari on my iPhone. I have tried Chrome, but with the other 3 browsers I use, I can't be bothered with changing and unless there's a sudden need to change.

Mostly at home I use chrome, only because its the browser that is ready to go the soonest on my laptop, other than that i'll just choose a random browser not really bothered really.

think the first browser I used was mosaic which later became NN.

While I'm on here, has anyone else had trouble accessing Microsoft websites with any browser other than IE?? Reason I ask is when ever I want to view my transcript etc in Chrome, after I've put my passport hotmail thingy details in it just hangs, so I have to revert to IE for certain MS sites

Most of the time it is FF on both my work machine and home, however I am tempted to give to Safari 4.0 a spin on the mac

Dont like the google chrome fuction at work does not support NTLM. Certain sites especially secure ones suffer. This is also due to the fact we have a proxy web filter

IE for almost everything and FF when IE won't work. I like FF just fine, but there's no compelling reason for me to change. I have to support IE, I have to write about IE, and IE works well in an AD corporate environment... so I use IE.
