Thanks mate will order now, just out of interest my mate has given me an a+ book, it's called comptia a+ complete study guide (deluxe edition)

It has exam numbers -601,602,603,604 I think it's made by Sybex?

Would this be sufficient? For the exam I am taking?

Thats the sybex one covering the 600 series, it may help but I would get material that covers the 700 series as the 600 series didn't include vista.

That book (the 600's) is for the test that ended in the states in Feb. (I got my 2006 A+ the last week in Feb since I'm in the states....) and the test will end by the end of Aug. for most everyone else. If you're just starting out now go with 700 stuff and study hard! I used a book by Jean Andrews (because I wasn't a member of this forum and didn't know about Meyers). Her book was pretty good since I passed both parts.
