When is the 2003 exam going to be updated?

Just received my A+ book from amazon and I'm a bit worried that there's going to be an updated exam coming out.

Any news as to if this is expected?

No formal announcement has yet been made by CompTIA, but one is expected later this year.

Don't worry about the objectives though, when they release a new version they still have a period of about 6 months where you tan take either the new version or the old version.

I guess since the A+ is for life it doesn't really matter which one I have, although one of the sample questions on the CompTIA website is:

When upgrading only a computer's CPU, which of the following would be the most likely replacement for a Celeron 466 MHz CPU?

A. Pentium 4 Xeon 2.0
B. Pentium 3 1 GHz
C. Pentium 2 MMX-450
D. AMD K7-750

Hmmmmm better get looking on ebay antiques for one of those then
