Currently working as a Dell engineer (field based)

finish A+ then do Network+ - stay with Dell for a while to get experience then either progress with Dell or look at doing some higher level cert with the experience you have with Dell - look for another job....

    Hi Smorg,

I agree with Zimbo. How do you find your field based job?

Good Advice from Zimbo and Si.

But what is it you enjoy?

    Working with software?
    Working with Hardware?
    Working with people?
Working on your own & creating websites?

or stay in engineering? maybe MSCE should be next?

    Hi Smorg,

    More information needed.

The advice given is OK but what do we know about you and your experience to really give any sort of advice. So you work for Dell, whoopee.

It's all about what you want to be doing.

I work in a call center making a very comfortable salary, but there's no challenge. I take a call and open a ticket.

What I want to be doing is LAN support.
