For me, it's getting up at 5am tomorrow morning to do the Christmas Food shopping at the 24hr Supermarket across town.
I hate the crowds, lol :D

I don't celebrate Christmas but it's not because I'm avoiding the Christmas rush...it's just a happy side effect. Unfortunately, my work is near the local mall so I can't avoid the Christmas rush traffic.

At Christmas time here it gets about as busy as a normal weekday at Asda in Beddington Lane Croydon.

I remember one Christmas it took us nearly an hour to just get out of the car park. One of the main reasons I wanted to leave Blighty!

Yep online shopping all the way for me :biggrin

The only shopping we dont do online is the food shopping.
We buy the bulk of that a few weeks before christmas, then on christmas eve you will find us in Tesco at about 5.00am buying all the fresh goods we need.

How the hell do people cope when they leave all the present buying until Christmas eve :ohmy

I have to admit i'm really crap! If by avoid it you mean ignore christmas till the last minute then run around like a nutter, i'm great at that! I hate to sound all bah humbug but i am a long sufferer of nasty sprout trauma, it's not curable. It's quite sad really, i can't stand em! lol

I am personally keeping Amazon afloat this xmas - if amazon or "I want one of those" doesn't stock it it doesn't exist!

Books and electricals for everyone this year. You should try Tesco online for food shopping, it's great ;)

I get what I want over the internet and let my wife worry about the rest. She's actually quite good because she does it throughout the year so at christmas time there's nothing to worry about.:D

I think you may be out of luck by now Trislloyd. I heard on the radio (I think it was on there) last week that most of the big name super markets were already or very nearly fully booked for delivery slots in the last week before crimbo.

See now thats my biggest problem...I shop at Morrisons and they dont have a friggin online shop!!! I cant be bothered with Asda cos its too far away (not liking their stuff anyway!), Tesco near me is only a Metro version and is crap and totally expensive, Sainsbury's dont get me started...so only Morrisons for me...but no damn online shop!!! think I need to speak to Ken....
