What hardware do you consider most important?

Although I agree on importance of data, I can't agree to lack of redundancy in other components. All servers where I work have redundant PSU's.

Wasn't until I went through to the actual poll page that I read the "building the system" bit, as I hit "other" with the intention of stating "My Chair" - it's doesn't matter how powerful/stable the system is, if you can't sit down comfortably for hours on end then it's all a waste.

I'll stick to my vote for a comfy posterior resting device.

 

1. get a decent motherboard an excellent brand and one more thing its upgradable which means can handle the latest processor and Ram, consider the FSB as well
2. CPU either Intel and AMD
3. Ram, you can find lots of good brand of ram anyway
4. Hard drive 7200 rpm sata but i prefer seagate brand
5. Power Supply 500w at least when u using 1 optical drive

one very important is missing the graphics card either Nvidia and ATI..

 

Hard Drive, as it contains all the data.

Oh and my HTC Desire is the best lol
