    the caching is pretty handy, especially if you have peak and off peak dial up rates like in the UK
    schedule it to log on at night, cache news.bbc.co.uk and windowsupdate.microsoft.com or what not

    all the proxy will then need to fetch in the morning is updated content, not all the graphics et al, pretty neat
    im more interested in its site to site vpn connectivity as a friend and I are trialing some Linux VoIP between our homes :)

    3 Meg NTL Connection, never had an outage, well havent noticed one anyway. I do however experience slow speeds from time to time when accessing there webmail service, but having said that it's happening les and less

    Blueyonder 1mb Connection

    * Getting pings of 16-24 online gaming

    * Download speeds between 90-124

    Happy with connection, considering I'm on a home network using 3 LAN cards and a RJ45 crossover cable (which is huge I might add)

    Don't do much uploading as yet so not bothered how fast I can upload!

    Cheers

    BT broadband 1 Meg. Boring but reliable.
    It used to be 512 for about £30, then they brought their prices down so you could get 1 Meg for about the same price.
    They wrote to me recently and offered to upgrade to 2 Meg for free, left me hanging on for a few weeks then told me they couldn't do it. Bummer.

    I am currently with tiscali but I am moving to a company called home call, you guy's should take a look and see what you think,

    You can get a good package with them e.g. free calls. Line rental for 9.99 and 512 broadband, the whole package ends up cheaper than what I am paying at the moment

    Meant to say this is £14.99 a month for upto 2mb if your line can handle it

    No download limit although there is traffic shaping in place at busy times for P2P and news groups but for general surfing emailing and the rest it runs full speed

    manage to use msn with webcam running while watching videos and surfing websites on 1mb connection with no problems

    :biggrin
