    Hi fellas,

I am trying to get into First line support.
I am already studying for 70 -680: windows 7 configering.

Some of the jobs I am looking to get into require me to know how to troubleshoot MS office problems.

    My questions are:
    1) What course/ exam should I prepare to know MS office in depth in terms of trouble shooting etc.
    2) What's the difficulty level?
    3) If you have completed it, how long did it take? and what level user are you?
    4) How did yu learn for it?

thanks for any responses and I will surely rep you.

You can study to become a MOS - it can be done at home(self study), elearning or at a college.

Only problem is finding a test centre, as generally the tests are done at colleges (who expect you to study there).

Alternatively, you could just practice heavily on the office applications and work your way through it. I normally just google if someone wants to know something and I can't remember.

Download: Office 2010: Product Guides - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details might help you 8)

Oh, if you're looking to self study. Groupon normally do an offer to get access to the elearning - normally £79 for all applications (then you just need to pay for the exams). You might want to keep an eye out for it.

EDIT: There is a Microsoft Word & Excel package on Groupon today.

Thank you for your help mate, Repped:)

I would be doing home study tbh.

Have you done it? or in the middle of doing it? How difficult is it for you?

Do you know any specific modules/ exams for it that i shoud start preparing for?

    thanks

I've bought access to it, but I haven't even finished my A+ yet :( - Been doing it for the last 3 months but getting married, new job and new wife has kind of kept me busy.

I've got full access til Oct next year so I'll be doing it in 2012 (along with many more I hope).

I'll take a few screenshots of the elearning topics. BRB.

I did the old Office XP related MOS exams (just the 'expert' ones, not the 'master' exams).

Overall they were not that difficult, a lot more visual as it wasn't just a bunch of multiple choice questions.

Back then I was able to find a test centre via Prometric.com, but as was said, test centres offerings MOS exams are few and far apart...
