Although it's funny I can't help thinking what is Wizard doing??? To start a business is hard work! I know because I started one 4 years ago. It takes a lot of planning, time and resources oh and some money. But you've got to make a plan and stick to it!

Seems i've joined this thread a bit late but.........

I find that this site offers good advice & support, not just for IT qualification's but for the broad knowledge that many forum members bring to the forum. I know if or when i have a problem i will get good advice from those who might well have been their & done it!

Where do i go from here?
At some time to pay & become a Premium Member and support the website more.

And when i had time out from IT Quals last year i got lot's of support, that was most welcome.

 

Yes and no! there are places like business link that will provide you with a business plan and money. I think the max was £10K with them although I did hear on the news about that women who started in making her own films and borrowed £4000 from a bank to set up a expensive lunch with some big names and she even starred in her own film riding naked through the streets on a horse. Hmmm I will see if i can find the link and post a thread?

 

Well I was unemployed for 6 months before, had never setup a business before then or even worked in a multimedia company and yet I managed to setup a business?? Although my mate did have the gift of the gab and although I was the technical one he was more like a sales man and sold it to them.

It was working fine until my mate decided to immigrate to OZ and then it all went pear shape

 

Thats a bit crap of him, do you ever see him?

 

Face to face? No I haven't seen him for a while I think he said something about he had to stay in OZ for 3 years to get his citizenship? I sometimes get an email from him. He is a flight instructor in a small town just outside of melborne.

Then again if he hadn't of gone I guess I would of never gone into IT or even found CF

So something good has come out of it!

 

I hope he left you and the business in a good state, and not in debt.

 

I followed others here from another IT site. But what I found here was that even if two people disagree, they still "walk away as friends", and don't get flamed (too bad) which is hard to find these days.

Except for Mitzs......she's just EVIL!!!!!!!

I got pointed here by an existing member and then again when I accosted one of the Admins about a forum I help run.

I am not doing any IT quals at the moment but tend to point people in this direction if they have any questions about them ... this truly is one of the best resources around for those seeking qualifications.

I am a lurker ... I only post in The Lounge ... and have to admit that this is one of a few forums I have been a member of that is happy for me to lurk and still turn up to GTGs.

 

I started out on forums looking for help and mentors and I was lucky to find people that were willing to help guide me. I repay that kindness by trying to pass on what others have passed on to me. I like to help people. I like the people as a whole on these forums and friendships that I know I have made for life though forums. I have to say CF is one of the best ones out there. Friendships run deep here and that is what keeps me coming back.

 

I'd say you squeaked by this time, T_G. Mitzs posted after you and didn't say a word about your "evil" comment. You may have dodged the (duct tape) bullet.

 

She did not miss anything, just that the superbowl was fixing to come on in an hour and she had to get ready for it...
