What are peoples experiences with OpenStack?

It's something we are looking at with work, to replace VMware VCD unfortunately.

I personally don't get it but as the DevOps guys want complete control (ie taking the orchestration away from the Cloud Team) I can understand why they want to use that instead.

Anyone successfully used it for CD or CI work?
