Well I'm a high school student looking to learn more about the Microsoft programs certification programs. Computer wise I'm pretty much a beginner and am looking for a good option to expand my knowledge. First off where can I find courses? Are they in a class room setting or are the online? How much does it cost? I am aware some programs do have a student discount but I don't know if they are programs that are suitable for beginners. Any information regarding earning certification or at least initializing the certification process would be appreciated.

First place to look Microsoft Technology Training | Microsoft Certification | Microsoft Learning

MS do have a certification at a fairly basic level, but generally they are aimed at those with relevant industry experience.
There are plenty of other organisiations, such as CompTIA, who do focus on the more entry level market.

As you're a high school student, look into the MTA track from Microsoft, as schools can get cheap site licences to run these exams, plus they are Microsoft's entry-level certifications.
