    Hello,

I'm considering doing the A+. I thought it'd be a good grounding in Hardware/Software before tackling some of the other MS exams. The route confuses me a bit though and the terminology (depot technician???). Are these exams aimed at the US?

I'm guessing most are going for A+ Essentials and 220-602 for IT Technician status?

My current job is some what remote support but 220-602 sounds like it would give better grounding. What are your views?

Cheers! Need to get back on the horse and start studying something. Got a couple of days free a week now so raring to go.

The best general pair of exams is probably Essentials + 602.

The other exams are said to be subsets of 602.

In the Mike Myers all-in-one A+ book, he says that you should only do 603 and 604 if you have been told specifically to do so by an employer.
