I don't know how long it will be before she pushes ones out since this is banshees first litter but atleast it has started. She started nesting about 2 hours ago, when she ran poor old smokey out of the bedroom snarling and snappy out of him. He is now in the kennel beside my desk with a wtf look , and his little feelings hurts. She is now sitting under my desk instead laying in the bedroom on her bed. I guess when she gets closer to her time I will take her back in there and stay with her till she is done. Woohoo I'm gonna have a litter of puppies again. I love puppies.

Well...there goes the weekend.

 

I will not have to worry about that for about 5 more weeks. As long as they are mother milk, they will not make a mess that mom doesn't keep clean.

well it has been a very long night. First pup out at 6:30 am

We are now at 4 with more on the way, but for her sake I hope not to many more. I will be happy when she does have the last one so we can both get some rest. They are soooooo cute and she is a very good mommy.

I feel sorry for Joe... he has to put up with all that yapping, not to mentione the noise the puppies will make!

So how many in the end Mitzs? bet ya feel real proud. Whats the plan with them, you gonna sell them or keep them all?

 

She had 11 that I can count in 5 hours, but I'm pretty sure that is all there is. They are lined up from her tail to chin Yes the plan is to sell them so keep your fingers crossed. I think we will be keeping a white female for smokey mate since she did not throw any blues. Banshee only has 9 utters instead of the reg 10. So I will have to talk to the vet monday and see if I will need to help her feed them. I really did not think she would have that many she wasn't real huge nor did her skin get really taunt on her belly. It has been a long and happy day and mommy and pups are resting well.

 

Have you taken any pictures of the little ones yet?

hope to take some today when joe gets home or tommrow. I do not want to stress her out to much. And we been having to move her and the puppies back forth to make sure they have fresh bedding. We tricked her outside lastnight with a can of dog food just to get her out to go to the bathroom and I was so worried about her that I did not even think to take pics of the puppies.

 

Will do tinus! Joe gets home he goes and cuddles with her too. It is sooo cute I am going to have to get a picture of that too.

 

You should give all 11 of them names of banshees. This book has some, per a review:

 

Oh thank you mike, I will use some of them down the road but not for this litter. I will name them pup 1 and so on, so the owners can put the name they want on the pups papers. Other wise it will coast extra to change it down the road.
