TRIP wrote just before he closed my thread (at my request) about a month ago.

....And i have to say, that is the most sense and the point i was trying to convey. Well put, i just wanted to express that, and its a breathe of fresh air to know that some people understand the concepts of IGNORE it if you have nothing productive to say and it becomes NO issue.
TRIP - no offense taken by your comment, but ill answer your query. They never become productive because people feel the utmost need to get defensive about issues they cannot explain, the topic then ends up becoming a MY COUNTRY vs YOUR COUNTRY thing instead of discussing the topic at hand. Its sad that people who are supposed to be SO intelligent cannot discuss and express in a respectful manner.
Maybe they become unproductive because of the contributors that are posting within it.

Its not a "touchy" subject, just touchy individuals.

I apologise if this seems a little "attack attack", but the main reason i posted it was to give praise to a well put statement.

    End rant.8)

IT when threads are locked that is the end of the matter. Your not soupose to pick the subject up in a new thread at your own convenice. It seems you enjoy starting conserversy among others. That isn't what CF is about.

Since my name was brought into this:

    A. If everyone ignores a thread, it will go away.

    B. If you don't start sh*t, then sh*t doesn't happen.

Shhhh. Be wery, wery quiet. Gee...I wonder what's going on elsewhere at CF?

Sorry mate, but your last sentence just says it all
I do not know how much forum experiance you have had in the past, but dragging up posts, ie necro posting, is not cool. It happens on CF because newbies are not aware that their questions have been answered, but this thread is pointless (as the person the thread is directed to has intimated) and can only be inflamitory.

Lets not kick off with this one please, the member on CF are better than that. But if it does go on then the staff WILL close it.

I missed the thread that caused all of the curfuffle, but have seen many threads like this in the passed created when someone has offended the majority when unintentionally doing so and wishing to set the record straight.

@ITHurts: As pointed out, when a thread is locked it is usually because its content is inappropriate for the boards. Starting another one does you no favours, but if you feel you have to get your point across, simply PM all admins. The CF admins are a reasonable bunch, unlike some other forums I've come across in my time, so if I were you I would have been confident of a fair response.

@the rest: Attacking someone outright when they wish to clarify their stance on a passed issue also does nothing to remedy the situation. I honestly don't know why the thread couldn't be locked immediately if there is even a sniff of trouble.

That's my two pennies sterling. :)

No one here is attacking him but laying out the facts. That thread you were not apart of, that he started almost cost us zeb. A valued user of this site, and a friend to most of us here. The content of that thread is not worth that. It is to high of a price considering what the thread was about and does not need to be brought back up at all.

Well, if Zeb wanted to leave then that would have been his decision.

Sometimes people forget that forums are just places where things are said, and if you don't like it, walk away. It shouldn't bare any real influence on your life whatsoever. That being said, everyone should be careful what they post. That is, everyone. :)
