    We're actually redeveloping our intranet, and Sharepoint has been specified as the software to use. Our programmer has never encountered it, so I've just sent him a linky :)

    Actually, you don't have to be a programmer to install and set up SharePoint. I know...I have it running on a virtual Windows Server 2003 machine right now. There are things you can do to modify SharePoint programatically, but the vast majority of its functionality comes right out of the box (or download in my case).

    I work with SharePoint 2003 everyday and while 2007 has been significantly redesigned, I can still figure out where all the buttons and switches are. :wink:

    Im deploying MOSS2007 at work to index the data in some of our shared drives as well as provide a portal of sorts for our team, im also fiddling with Groove Server and Forms Server, Live Meeting and a few others!
    lots of cool stuff in the Office 2007 line up :)
