    Hi Guys,

Just wondered whether any of you could recommend a good Web Hosting Company. I've done a lot of looking a different sites and reviews and there seem to be some bad experiences about quite a few companies so am looking for any recommendations for good ones.

    Hope you can help.

    Cheers

We (company I work for) use a VPS from Layershift. And honestly, I've never seen a host like that.
If you can afford a VPS from them go for it.

Support ticket about some random stuff issued at 3:00 at night because I couldn't sleep got answered within 15 minutes.
Other time, we needed support for .uk.com domain which were not supported by Layershift. After speaking to Damien, day later they introduced .uk.com domain support into their offer. That's what I call great service.

Also google up for Layershift reviews and you'll see.

Thanks to UKDarkstar for recommending it in the first place.

edit: Just noticed they provide shared hosting as well, so there you go, your dream host :D

I used to use pickaweb as they were excellent for getting started.

Then I moved on to hostinguk which I've used ever since.
Excellent and a good range of options.
