I have read somewhere there is a web site where you can practice developing Software/Web applications for various clients to get some experience, anyone know the address please ?

ummm.... not that i know of.

There is rentacoder.com, but its a business, you bid on how much you want for a job, and the client takes the best offer. In most cases, they are still going to expect a professional service, so its not somewhere you can just mess around and give it a shot really. You dont want to end up giving yourself a reputation of not completing work, or having shoddy work (Which is possibly if you are still learning) or hell, even just slow (Again, which is highly possible if you are still learning the code)

yep, the only other one would be topcoder.com which is just for practising codeing. Its always the hardest bit of practising web design/programming is actually finind a project that is interesting.
