Anyone subscribed to the VMUG advantage? if so, how do you find it? is it worth it? Seems like you get cool features with the subscription... I am thinking about it.

I've considered it a couple of times but for me it just doesn't add up to a worthy investment, the only thing that might be of use is the access to the e-learning courses but thats what blogs are for. Its a nice idea but I'd much rather hold out for a vmware technet direct type affair that they are trying to get started again.

It does offer discounts on various things but like with most courses or events you could probably get a similar discount in another way without the yearly down payment.

They are currently offering the VCP 5 exam with a new VMUG Advantage subscription.

Sign Up by August 31, 2012 and Receive A Free VCP 5 Certification – A $225 Value though I am not too sure if that's valid over here (in Canada you should be good to go tho).

    Thanks for the reply guys!

Simon, I saw that and that's one of the reasons why I was interested... plus they seem to give a discount on the VCP training up to 15%. For someone who has to pay the price of the training myself, I could really use the discount :)

I appreciate this is an old thread but I wondered if anyone has paid the VMUG Advantage / Evaluation fee and can offer any insights.
