I've been told it's a good starting point if you want to create your own OS?

Having looked at the website it appears to be more one-man's effort at doing a minimal OS with GUI.

I suspect that you will have to be a fairly good programmer in C to get much out of it!

Warning - the above is based on a 5 min look at the web-site, and could be wrong!
