    Calling all Visio users .......

Is there a way to change the default name (currently the person to whom the product is registered) when inserting a comment on a diagram ?

eg If I currently insert a comment, the little tag that you click on for info displays "Gav1", "Gav2" etc. Is it possible for me to change this to read say "JakamokoPC", then another comment that displays "Papabobo's Server" ?

Sorry if I haven't explained this too well. If need be, I'll try and grab some screenshots to illustrate my question further.

    Thanks in advance, Guys.

A screen shot may help little more Gav, I have Visio 03 so may be able to help if you haven't already sorted this out.

I am using Visio 2000 and just inserted a comment. I can't see where it appends the name of the registered user. I just get the text that I typed in. Sorry, I'm not getting it.

Just tried it in 03, do you mean the full name of the shortened part? See attachment.

I'm going offline now so wont catch your reply till the morning, if it is the one in the blue then you can change that from >Tool>Options>General>Initials

Aaaah, not that part, si - but your s/shot shows exactly what I mean.

Where your tags are labelled SV1 and SV2 in this example - those are what I want to change. Does that make sense now ?

If this can be achieved, I'd be most grateful :D
