Dear all,

Please can you tell me how to get rid of a virus programme my sister downloaded called 'Personal Antivirus'.

AVG her installed antivirus scans this as a target in C:\Programme Files\Pav\Pav.exe

Threat Name :
Trojan Horse SHeurz.AETN

Is there a programme tool to fetch it off. AVG suggests it's been vaulted when actioning the heal button but when she scans again the threat name appears again as active.

NB

 

try quarantining the virus then remove it.

 

bootup in safe mode then run AV. Press F8 when computer booting if you don't know.

 

dont forget to turn system restore off too! good for rolling back, but good at keeping problems too!

Remember to delete the virus from the quaranteen area, otherwise its still there.
