Well, the 'owners' of the stuff pay REAL money to have these virual items. For me this is very simular to making a copy of a program and using it illegal or selling your copy of Transcender.
He has furniture he has not payed for and that is stealing.

 

That is just hilarious.

Hmm, just had a thought, my 15 year old son used to play that game - better have a word with him before the virtual police raid the innards of my pc.

 

I'm convinced that this doesn't meet the criteria of theft. It wasn't taken it was copied. It's more along the lines of copyright infringement [which is not a criminal offence but a civil wrong].

The best they could hope to get these guys on is some kind of telecommunications offence relating to hacking over the telephone infrastructure?

 

Its all getting out of hand now, buying vitual furniture? I feel sorry for these people.
