I just re-installed Windows on a HP XT966 Pentium 4 computer, when I click on a file on the USB flash drive and try to copy it to the hard drive Windows does not copy it but gets stuck. When I remove the flash drive Windows works normally. Does anyone have any idea why?

    Thanks

Is there sufficient space for the file to be copied?

Is the File complete? can you access and view the file (ie the contents) from the flash drive?

Try another flash drive as a test.

Does this file copy on another computer?
    Is the computer NTFS?
Whats the size of the file?
When you say get stuck, does the transfer "get stuck" or does the computer "get stuck
    "
    LOL!
