Is it necessary to use and upgrade disk when ugprading from Windows 95 to 98 or can use simply use normal installation disk and choose to install over an existing copy of Windows.

I am preparing for the 2003 A+ Operating Systems exams and I need help.

    Thank guys for your support.

This section, from Microsoft Technet, gives info on options for installing Win98.

AFAIK the only difference between the Upgrade CD and the full CD is that the Upgrade CD was cheaper, and insisted on seeing some sort of evidence that you had a previous version.

Hi, you can use an origian copy as an upgrade version if you wish to. To upgrade from 95, you just start the pc as normal. When in windows 95 just indest 98 choose upgrade. And foolow on screen instruciton's.

If it does't auto run on initial insertion of 98, click start-run and type d:\setup ........ This will start the process of installation.
