Yes, 70-682 is a comprised of questions from both the 70-680 and the 70-685.
You need to have the MCDST or the MCITP Enterprise Desktop Support for Vista to take the exam.
If you pass, you gain both certifications.

If you google the exam numbers, the MCP pages with exam descriptions should be the first hit ...

Hmm, seems like Microsoft isn't that unanimous about it.
Mailed them the day before yesterday; got my answer today.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding MCITP certification.

We would like to inform you that once you pass exam 70-682 you would only earn MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician ? Windows 7 certification. This exam covers 70-680 and 70-685. However it would not provide you the MCTS: Windows 7 credential.

In order to earn MCTS: Windows 7 certification you would have to pass exam 70-680 separately.

Just looking into Win7 certs myself and remembered reading about getting the two certs in one. Is the latest post (that 682 gets you only the MCITP and not MCTS) still the current line? I will also be emailing Microsoft, but wanted to know if you guys have seen anything lately? Certainly seems to be the case...
