Hi everyone!i am attempting to install windows xp using an answer file but have run into a problem. The unattended install fails with the following error:
Line 14 of the inf file c:\winnt.sif is invalid
Setup cannot continue

The first few lines of my file is as follows:

I think i remember having this problem before but cant remember how i resolved it! Any ideas

well, since line 14 is the adminpassword, you may want to change that second quote character. either use quotes to enclose the complete password, or don't use quotes at all (i think... ms requires enclosure by quotes, but i believe using no quotes will also work).

and by the way, you've got your productid up there for all to see, including search engines. if you don't want it to get blacklisted by microsoft, i think you better remove it from your post.

lol so i have but thats ok didint mean to keep it secret in my profile!!I should really jus stay away from computers when im hungover, things never go to plan lol
