    Hi

I have been offered a NICE contract, however never having done contact work before the agency informed me that they can put me intouch with a few umbrella companys that they use. My question is this, would it be better to use one of these umbrella companys or would it be better to set up my own limited company, and of course Why i.e. Pro's and Con's of each ?

    Cheers

It was covered on here somewhere however it seemed to turn into a gallery of umbrella (rain protection device :D ) pictures.

Heh similar situation just happened with me! Got a job last week!

Contract work, part time help desk role, great so i can do some certs in the part time :D

Gross i would take home £180/week, PAYE id take home £130, with an umbrella i take home £152 ish, so worth it!

Just make sure their reputible, and have professional indemnity insurance etc. I use safe solutions. Havent been working long enough to get paid by them yet! but they seem very good. Plus i learnt quite a bit about company forming etc
