types of courses

    hello all

    a quick ? what do you guys think of accelrated training for microsoft certs you know the ones where its like a boot camp 5 days residential training that sort of thing.
    the reason im asking is because im currently self/home studying the mcdst but too many distractions finding it really hard this way.

    I am also a self studier but can do it with the common distractions you get at home.

    As for these boot camp places I would say some are good but I would also say there are probably some dodgy ones too, I have heard some use braindumps to get people through ( I am not mentioning any names of these places).

    I would say find some and try to get some feedback of previous students, some may be on here.

    I think 'accelerated learning' is OK for people who already know their stuff well, but need to add another skillset or certification to their portfolio.

    Work commitments usually mean this has to be done quickly and efficiently.

    I wouldn't recommend them for complete beginners though.
