Firstly I passed 70-272, so I am now a MCDST!

Secondly I have found my self a Desktop Support Job and start in two weeks!

I count my self very lucky, less than a month looking for a job, and taking less than a week to acquire my MCDST.

And thanks to everyone on here!

I came up with a whole collection of amusing options for the content of this thread, I'm disappointed :dry

Anyway, congrats on both and good luck in the new job.

    Nice one mate!

Out of interest, which exam did you find the hardest? 271 or 272?

I found 271 the 'hardest' I guess, but scored more on this test than 272, go figure?

One re-occuring theme with the MCDST I have noticed is that people take the 271, don't find it too tough so they then assume that the 272 will be easy. But you still have to know your stuff for it.

I think some people do fall into the trap of underestimating the difficulty of certain exams so you do have to watch out. A question is only ever easy if you know the answer after all. :)

    Never a truer word...

Seriously though, asking 'which exam is harder?' is a real YMMV question, I completed all three of the cert exams I've taken so far in under 15 minutes each (A+ and N+) but I'd never think to comment and say they are really easy. I got through them because I took the time to really learn the material and I work with it all every day.

So don't worry about which exam is 'easier' or 'harder' if you study hard and make sure you know what your talking about before you walk into the exam center you'll be fine, if you don't, you won't. Simples.

Well, I was only asking out of interest and it doesn't worry me one bit, I revise till I'm blue in the face and I always go over areas that I struggle to grasp until I've learnt them. Plus I'll only ever sit an exam if I'm 100% confident. I simply asked out of curiosity, fairly innocuous really. Simples.
