of course it isn't funny if you look at it seriously.

in fact at first i thought it was fake, because i couldnt believe it.

 

we were talking about this at work. The only way we could see this happening (short of a stunt) is if the clio nipped out in front of the lorry, and misjudged the distance. In this event its possible that the lorry caught the rear side of the car, causing it to spin into place (like the police use to stop cars). If it had hit the car side on (unless it was incredibly slowly) would have ruined the car.

Even a slow impact seems unlikely, simply because you would surely notice the extra weight whilst attempting to accelerate.

 

Apparently West Yorkshire police belive the video not to be a fake as it corresponds to an incident they attended in January

what an idiot, surely the lorry driver would have felt some sort of resistance going on and wondered why.

 

How very odd! I thought the A1 was littered with Highway Agency cameras...surely they would have picked this up?

 

This is what being a truck driver possibly does to you GBL , he probaly though "...what was that I just hit? must have been nothing", then a couple of seconds later "aaahhhh its just a bit of wind isn't it causing that resistance" hahaha
